Store Data and Metafields

Upon installation, Tariffed requests permission to read and write metafields, access product information, and related store data in order to calculate and display tariff amounts.

• We will store your Shopify store information, including store name, domain, and contact details
• We do not collect any customer personal information (e.g., names, email addresses, or payment details)
• We do not store or process any personally identifiable customer or end-user data

Merchant Account Information

We may access your Shopify store's basic account identifiers (e.g., store name, store ID) solely for app configuration and support purposes.

Usage Data

We automatically collect anonymized, aggregated usage metrics such as feature usage statistics, error logs, and performance data. This information assists us in planning new features, debugging issues, and operating Tariffed effectively.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our App's functionality
• Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests

• We will share merchant data (store ID or metadata) only if required by Shopify in order to comply with their App Store requirements or if required by law (e.g., a valid subpoena or other legal process).
• We may share anonymized, aggregated usage data (not linked to any individual merchant or store) with third-party analytics providers to help us understand overall app performance.

In the event Tariffed (or substantially all of its assets) is acquired by or merged with another company, merchant data may be transferred. However, any successor entity will be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

Retention of Identifying Information

We retain any identifying information (store name, store ID) only as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill contractual obligations, or comply with legal requirements. After you uninstall Tariffed or request deletion, we permanently delete all identifying information within thirty (30) days.

Retention of Aggregate Data

We may retain anonymized, aggregated metrics and usage data indefinitely for business analysis, feature planning, and security auditing, as these records cannot be traced back to any individual store or user.

Deletion Upon Uninstall

When you uninstall Tariffed, all sensitive merchant-specific data (including configuration settings and metadata created by Tariffed) will be deleted automatically.

User-Initiated Deletion Requests

If you wish to delete any remaining identifying information earlier, please contact us at the address provided below, and we will honor your request within a commercially reasonable timeframe.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights and Choices

You have certain rights and choices regarding the personal information we collect and how it's used:

• Account Information: You may update, correct, or delete your account information at any time by logging into your Shopify admin and managing the App settings. If you wish to delete your account, please contact us, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We primarily process and store your information in the United States. By using our App, you understand that your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where different data protection standards may apply.

Shopify Data Processing
